This is going to be a bit of a random mish-mash of a post. But the last couple of weeks have been a bit of a mish-mash in general and I wanted to capture them somehow so that when I look back at this time, it’s not a complete blur. I had my last day at work on Friday, and then a leaving party in the evening and it all felt very strange but exciting. I was blown away by my wonderful colleagues, friends, and family, and had so much fun on Friday night. I put together a little round-up list – I love reading bloggers’ lists like these so thought I’d do my own….
Eating // Diet extremes – Avocado on toast and smoothies and then a pile of brownies
Listening // To Sia’s new song Elastic Heart. Big Sia fan over here
Writing // So. Many. To. Do. Lists.
Feeling // Grateful for all the love and presents over the past week. Totes spoilt guys
Drinking // So many chai lattes and also an interesting rum punch I made on Friday night
Working // On applying for jobs in Australia
Reading // Lena Dunham’s Not That Kind of Girl. Hilarious! If you’re a fan of the HBO show ‘Girls’, you’ll love this
Planning // Creative projects for the future! Stay tuned.
Remembering // To breathe
Wearing // The few Winter outfits I have left after we shipped our boxes to Australia (jeans + stripes, classic)
Smelling // The White Company Orange Grove diffuser we have in the bathroom. SO GOOD.
Spending // Time with my family, and having quality Mum + daughter time
Waiting // To get on that plane
Trying // …and failing to get to bed early every night
Dreaming // Of warm weather and beaches
Running // Along the River Thames in the cold and sun
Wanting // To fast forward time but also pause it. Can’t do either so should probably forget about this one…
And a bit of happy inspiration for your Monday…
I came across two posts that I loved this week, and have bookmarked to come back to. Firstly, Rosie’s New Year’s Resolution to go easier on herself. I know I’m not the only one who also needs to do this. Especially with social media being around now, we see everyone else’s successes, which is great, but also sometimes makes us feel like we have to do it ALL. Then there’s Freya’s lovely post on choosing happiness. This is such a great idea for helping us to appreciate day to day life instead of having negative thoughts.
Have a good week! x
