A Year in Blogging

Last year I did a round up of my blogging year and it was great to see it all summed up. So here we go again! It’s certainly been a busy year, and strange to think that half of it I was at uni, as so much has happened since.

Let me know in the comments if you do something similar, I’d love to see!

In January I posted about my wallpaper print designs, inspired by African tribal beads. The new year was the beginning of my final major project, which had to take a big change due to me breaking my arm in the snow. I was also interviewed by Mora Approved and went skiing in Zurich!
I posted photos of my Abstract Jewel fabric collection, launched my website (!) and celebrated my 22nd birthday.
In March I did some styling for Liberty of London and posted my studio space.
The pressure with my final project was building in April, but my boyfriend whisked me away to Milan for Easter which was a very welcome break.
I think the date 20th May 2013 will forever be stuck in my brain. Us textile students were pretty much working towards that deadline from September. I ordered brand new business cards, was interviewed by the lovely Hannah Byatt, finished off all my work, and partied! It was great to relax after the deadline. I also took part in Pinterest’s Pin It Forward UK campaign.
In June we had our exhibition at Bath School of Art, then went to exhibit at New Designers, and won an award from Whiston and Wright which was so exciting. I joined Instagram, and moved out of beautiful Bath, back to London.
I went on an amazing holiday to Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar with my family, and came back to graduate in Bath Abbey.
In August I did a little photoshoot with my Moroccan ceramics and started my job at BODIE and FOU.
I travelled to New York, Florida, and New Orleans with Alex, which was so much fun!
My family went on our annual apple picking trip to make cider in Kent, and I did some Autumn light styling. I also ordered some of my fabric designs which I am currently working on making into products!

I had a little trip to Cornwall, and then moved into my new flat! And did an Etsy Giveaway.

Notonthehighstreet.com sent me a bunch of festive goodies so I got into a festive mood and baked!

It’s been a super busy year and blogging has gone down the plughole in the past few months. Work at uni was time consuming, but a lot more flexible than my job at the moment. So I’ve decided that my blogging resolution will be to blog 5 times a week in January. (Eek I might regret this!)

What are your resolutions?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
