Tent Round Up

A couple of weeks ago I hopped off the plane from the USA at 10am and after dropping my bags at home, headed over to Tent London. A few friends from Bath School of Art were doing some live artwork there so it was so nice to see them as well as have a wander and see so much amazing and inspirational talent. See my favourite stands from last year.
I adore the simple but illustrative wallpapers that she produces, in lovely moody and sophisticated colourways. Love the Storm Clouds print which I hadn’t seen before, which was inspired by the ‘never-ending’ rain that we had at the start of this year.
This isn’t usually my kind of style but her patterns and illustrations are just beautifully intricate and her stand looked stunning. This big tree made such an impact.
I love these colourful geometric animals cleverly made into an abstracted rug. The animal heads would look so fun on a child’s bedroom wall!
I had a lovely chat with the designer Margarita about her designs and learnt how these abstract geometric cushions were inspired by houses. I love the top cushion so much. I wish I’d taken more photographs but I think my jet lag was starting to hit me by now!
I remember seeing these pendant lights last year and liking them. Taking these classic retro style pendant lights and putting paper lanterns in them which you can push in and out to change the look.
The designer took me through her lovely colourful printed cushion designs. Brown isn’t usually a main colour I would use but Petra manages to make these cushions work so well! My other favourites were the predominantly black and white cushions which reminded me of smashed glass (in a good way!)
Just loved these plates – the colour palette and illustrations are so pretty.
Thought this chip fork wallpaper is so fun and works well as a pattern!
Just beautiful woven pendants!
I have liked Maxine’s work for years but I hadn’t seen much of her work in real life before. The embroidery, colours, and fabrics are seriously lovely. Really quirky.

Sorry for my absence – after a few days of jetlag I had a horrible cold for several days, and now I think I’ve settled back into work and reality! In other news, Alex and I have found a flat to move into in November! I am so excited and will share more soon ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope you’re all well
