Chevron letter “P”

My parents gave me this white letter P for my birthday a couple of years ago and I’ve been meaning to do something with it for a while, I just wasn’t sure what until today. I’ve loved chevron patterns for a while, and so thought this was a nice way to bring it into my room.
I used masking tape to create the pattern. I probably should have measured it out properly but was too lazy and just did it by eye! I was going to go for a hot pink colour, but when I started mixing it I quite liked this pale pink instead.
Unfortunately it didn’t work extremely well – I used acrylic paint and was worried that it would peel the edges when I took off the masking tape, and it did a little bit. However I went over some of the worse edges and I think it looks ok from a distance!
I love doing little simple crafts like this, it’s so easy and so satisfying!
xx
